Each session is designed to be a nourishing experience in and of itself, with an emphasis on presence, creative expression, embodied storytelling, and environmental beauty.

The Journey

*A guided visioning process, beginning with a custom questionnaire designed to spark the journey within. Together, we’ll explore everything from color palettes, wardrobe, and locations to props as symbols, your current archetypes, and mytho-poetic themes.

* An expansive day of creative exploration. This sounds long, but trust me, it’s timeless. By the end of the day, the first shots seem like both forever and three minutes ago. The point here is the Journey itself, and what we discover along the way. By the end, most everyone feels incredibly safe & comfortable in front of the camera. The portraits just become more authentic and powerful as we go.

*My therapeutic alliance as a Somatic Practitioner, guiding you through a gentle process of embodied storytelling through breath, movement, and reflective prompts. You may find yourself feeling a little altered by the end of your session. You’ve been breathing deeply, noticing your environment, at play, creatively engaged in the present moment. You havn’t been on your phone, or otherwise distracted by the demands of the world. This is built into the experience, and is such a gift.

*As many wardrobe/location changes as we find purposeful and inspiring. I often tell people to pack the whole suitcase, and love taking pictures of the backs of cars, overflowing with prop and wardrobe options. Somehow, we usually end up using all of it. Any locations that I can reasonably turn into a long day trip are up for consideration, including the Oregon Coast, Smith River, and Redwood National Parks. Most Journey sessions include three distinct location chapters.

*Ideal for Brand Embodiment for the Soulful Entrepreneur, and Transformational Portraiture. That said, any type of session can become a Journey if it sparks joy.
